What Is Bowen Therapy?

Bowen Therapy is a non-invasive therapy that uses subtle movements performed on the muscles and connective tissues (fascia) that activates cellular memory that promotes healing.

The cellular memories recalls the natural state of the body which is relaxed and in good health.

There is no deep tissue or muscle manipulation that can cause discomfort, pain or inflammation.

A session is usually 45-60 minutes depending on the level of treatments, there are short breaks during the treatment for the body to respond.

How Does Bowen Work?

What Is Bowen Therapy?

What Is Bowen Therapy?

Bowen Therapy involves the whole body and not just the part that is in pain or injured.

It is common for the body to compensate when a part is injured and that can cause other stresses and pain to occur.

Bowen Therapy utilises similar meridians as acupuncture as these meridians are the natural pathways of the body.

Usually, only three to five sessions are required to effect relief, long term injuries may need more.

Generally there is a 5 to 7 day period between treatments.
